BackSpace Exhibition
2021
The BackSpace Exhibition was a joint exhibition done with my secondary school friends after we finished N/O Levels. We took around 2-3 months to get everything planned, booked, manufactured and ready. We held the exhibition at #01-10/11 Waterloo Centre Singapore from 6 - 19 December 2021.

The exhibition was based off an original story we came up with (the synopsis is above) with an overarching theme about how we need to take better care of our environment and also to not take the things we have on earth for granted.

the piece touches on the idea of the socially ideal woman vs the woman's desire for empowerment. taken inspiration from the 50s and a play on retro futurism: where aspirations are a thing of the past and will never come to fruition

this work serves as commentary on our mundane day to day lives to not only appreciate the world better and see it in a new light but to reflect on our parasitic relationship with the environment around us and the inevitability of our demise
